Description
Struggling to achieve clean cuticles, unsure which e-file bits to use, or spending too much time filing your BIAB after application?
This training is designed for nail technicians who want to improve their Russian manicure technique, understand how to work safely with an e-file and create smooth BIAB overlays without unnecessary filing.
You’ll learn how to achieve clean cuticle work, create symmetrical nail shapes and apply gel polish close to the cuticle without flooding.
How the training works
Your learning starts before the training day. You’ll receive a training manual and video demonstrations to prepare in advance.
During the course, we’ll focus on hands-on practice, with step-by-step guidance and feedback to help you identify and correct mistakes.
You’ll learn in a small group while still receiving individual attention and support throughout the day.
What you will learn
- Russian Manicure – Understand what Russian manicure involves and learn the correct steps to achieve a clean, safe manicure.
- Fast & Safe Removal – Learn how to remove gel products quickly and safely using an e-file, without damaging the natural nail.
- Understanding E-File Bits – Understand which drill bits you actually need, what each bit is used for and how to choose the right one for each stage of your manicure.
- E-File Cuticle Preparation – Learn how to prepare the cuticle safely and precisely using an e-file. Understand which steps affect the cleanliness of your final result.
- Cuticle Cutting – Learn how to cut the cuticle cleanly and safely using scissors or nippers, avoiding common mistakes.
- Nail Shaping – Learn how to create clean, symmetrical nail shapes with even sidewalls and a balanced free edge.
- BIAB Application – Learn how to apply BIAB smoothly and evenly using a self-levelling technique, without the need for additional surface filing.
- Gel Polish Application – Learn how to apply gel polish neatly and close to the cuticle without flooding the skin.

Course information
- Location: 📍📍 Newmarket, Suffolk
- Duration: 1 day (approximately 8 hours)
- Group size: Maximum of 6 students
- Preparation: Before the training, you will receive a training manual and video demonstrations by email. Please review these in advance so we can focus mainly on practical training during the course.
- Hours:
- • 10:00 – 17:00/18:00 : Approximately
- Structure: Hands-on practice on yourself, with step-by-step guidance and individual feedback throughout the training.
- Materials: All tools, equipment and materials will be provided. You don't need to bring anything with you.
- Lunch: Please bring your own lunch. Coffee, tea, water and snacks will be provided. There is also a Co-op supermarket approximately 5 minutes' walk from the training venue.
- Certification: ABT Certificate of Completion.
